A giant for new applications
Everything is getting bigger and more powerful. This trend is also reflected in the production of semi-finished products or components for wind turbines, structural parts for large offshore platforms, large antifriction bearings, or key components for nuclear reactors. Up to now, these semi-finished products have been manufactured with open-die forging but can be partially substituted by the process of ring rolling in a radial-axial ring rolling machine.
Clutch-type screw presses produce components for turbine applications
The aviation industry constantly strives for greater energy efficiency and performance, particularly in aircraft engines. These advancements influence operational costs and environmental sustainability. To meet these demands, turbine components require sophisticated alloys and complex geometries.
SMS group supplies open-die forging press to Jiuli Yongxing in China
Jiuli Yongxing is expanding its capabilities in forging high-performance alloys to respond to increasing demand from the chemical, aerospace, and energy industries, among others.
