Arrival Tips & Advice
Entry of trade fair participants from abroad is generally possible
The German government has decided that trade fair participants (exhibitors and visitors) can generally enter Germany, even if they come from a country that does not belong to the EU/Schengen area or the group of countries on the German "positive list". The latest information on entry requirements for participants to trade fairs in Germany can be found on the AUMA-website (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry).
On the website of the traffic management centre Niedersachsen ( Verkehrsmanagementzentrale Niedersachsen ) you will find all information about the current traffic situation.
Low Emission Zone
Hannover is not only an environmentally conscious trade fair city, but since 1 January 2008 has also been a city with an environmental zone, through which a reduced fine dust pollution is to be achieved.
The low emission zone covers large areas of the city around the city centre within the expressway ring and is indicated by road signs. Only vehicles that are marked with a fine dust sticker or meet the exceptional criteria may enter the zone.
Taxi
Taxi stands are located around the exhibition grounds at the entrances NORD 2, WEST 1 + 3 and SÜD 1.
The journey time between the exhibition grounds and the airport is approx. 30 minutes, depending on the volume of traffic.
The taxi company "Hallo Taxi 3811" also offers its customers a new quality service. Under the motto: friendly, safe, comfortable, the nationwide unique initiative Plus Taxi has been launched. When ordering a Plus Taxi, passengers are guaranteed a number of quality standards. Surcharges are not levied. More information www.taxi-hannover.eu/
